Ingredients
  

  • Popcorn Kernels 1/2 Cup
  • Unsalted Butter 1/2 Cup
  • Brown Sugar 1 Cup
  • Light Corn Syrup 1/4 Cup
  • Salt 1/2 Tsp
  • Vanilla Extract 1 Tsp
  • Baking Soda 1/2 Tsp

Instructions
 

  • Pop the Corn: Use your pot to pop the fresh kernels.
  • Prepare the Pan: Line a tray with your parchment paper.
  • Melt the Base: Heat butter and sugar in your saucepan.
  • Boil the Mix: Let it bubble for a few minutes until thick.
  • Add Final Flavors: Stir in the vanilla and baking soda fast.
  • Coat the Popcorn: Pour the hot mix over your popped corn.
  • Toss Well: Mix it quickly so every piece is coated.
  • Bake the Mix: Put it in the oven to get crunchy.
  • Cool it Down: Let it sit until the toffee is hard.
  • Break it Up: Snap the pieces apart and enjoy eating.

Notes

➔ Use fresh kernels for the best crunch and flavor.
➔ Do not let the sugar burn in the pan.
➔ Work very quickly once you add the baking soda.
➔ Spread the popcorn in a single layer to dry.
➔ Use a thermometer to reach the hard crack stage.
