- Ground beef 1 lb
- Shredded cheddar cheese 2 cups
- Cream cheese 4 oz
- Taco seasoning 2 tbsp
- Diced jalapenos 1/4 cup
- Garlic powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Brown the Beef: Put your ground beef in the large skillet. Cook it until the meat is no longer pink. Drain the extra fat from the pan.
Add the Spices: Pour the taco seasoning into the cooked beef. Add the cream cheese and jalapenos now. Stir until the mixture is very smooth.
Prepare the Cheese Circles: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Place small piles of shredded cheddar on the sheet. Flatten them into circles with your hand.
Bake the Cheese: Put the cheese circles in the oven. Bake at 400 degrees for five minutes. Wait until the edges look brown and bubbly.
Fill and Roll: Remove the cheese circles from the oven. Put a spoonful of beef on each circle. Quickly roll them up into a tight tube shape.
Cool and Set: Let the taquitos sit for two minutes. This makes the cheese shells get very crispy. Serve them while they are still nice and warm.
