Ingredients
  

  • Kirby Cucumbers 2 Lbs
  • White Vinegar 2 Cups
  • Granulated Sugar 1.5 Cups
  • Canned Jalapenos With Juice 1/2 Cup
  • Fresh Garlic 4 Cloves
  • Mustard Seeds 1 Tbsp
  • Celery Seeds 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 Tsp
  • Kosher Salt 1 Tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Wash your cucumbers very well in cold water. Cut off the ends of each cucumber. Slice them into rounds about half-inch thick.
  • Pack the cucumber slices into your glass jar. Add the sliced jalapenos and garlic cloves now. Leave a little space at the top.
  • Place the vinegar, sugar, and spices in the pan. Heat the mixture over a medium flame. Stir it until the sugar fully disappears.
  • Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers carefully. Make sure the liquid covers every single slice. Use a spoon to push them down.
  • Let the jar cool on the counter first. Put the lid on very tight after cooling. Place the jar in the back of your fridge.

Notes

  • Always use very fresh and firm cucumbers for crunch.
  • Let the pickles sit for twenty-four hours before eating.
  • Do not boil the brine for too long.
  • Slice the garlic thin to release more flavor.
  • Keep the cucumbers submerged under the liquid always.
  • Use a clean fork to grab pickles from the jar.
  • Adjust the jalapenos to control your preferred heat level.
