Refrigerator
- Elderberry Syrup 1/2 Cup
- Fruit Juice 1/4 Cup
- Beef Gelatin 1/4 Cup
- Raw Honey 2 Tbsp
- Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp
Mix the Liquids: Pour your fruit juice and elderberry syrup into the pan. Stir them together until the colors blend well. Do not turn on the heat yet.
Bloom the Gelatin: Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold liquid slowly. Let it sit for a few minutes to get thick. This step is very important for the texture.
Warm the Mixture: Turn the stove on to a very low heat. Stir the mix constantly with your whisk. The gelatin must dissolve completely into the juice.
Add the Sweetener: Take the pan off the heat once it is smooth. Stir in the honey and the fresh lemon juice. Whisk until the liquid looks shiny and clear.
Fill the Molds: Use the dropper to suck up the warm liquid. Carefully squeeze the liquid into each small mold shape. Work quickly before the liquid starts to set.
Chill to Set: Place the molds into your refrigerator for one hour. Wait until they feel firm to the touch. Pop them out of the molds and enjoy.
➡️ Use a whisk to avoid lumps in your gelatin.
➡️ Do not boil the syrup to keep the nutrients.
➡️ Lightly oil molds so gummies pop out very easily.
➡️ Use high quality gelatin for the best chewy texture.
➡️ Taste the liquid before chilling to check the sweetness.
