Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Rubber spatula
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Chef's knife

Ingredients

  • Unsalted Butter 1 cup
  • Medium Jalapeños 2
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Lime Juice 1 tsp
  • Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Fresh Cilantro 1 tbsp

Instructions

  • Prep the Jalapeños: Wash and deseed the fresh green peppers first. Mince them into very small, fine pieces for even heat.
  • Soften the Butter: Leave the butter on the counter for one hour. It must be soft but not melted for blending.
  • Mix the Base: Place the soft butter into your food processor. Add the honey, lime juice, and all the spices.
  • Add the Heat: Pulse the mixture until it looks very creamy. Fold in the minced jalapeños and the fresh cilantro.
  • Shape the Log: Scoop the butter onto a piece of plastic wrap. Roll it into a log and twist the ends.
  • Chill and Set: Place the butter log in the fridge. Let it firm up for at least two hours.

Notes

➔ Use high-quality grass-fed butter for the very best rich flavor.
➔ Wear gloves when cutting peppers to avoid burning your skin.
➔ Remove all seeds if you want a much milder butter.
➔ Make sure the butter is truly room temperature before mixing.
➔ Use fresh lime juice rather than the bottled kind.
