- Unsalted Butter 1 cup
- Medium Jalapeños 2
- Honey 1 tbsp
- Lime Juice 1 tsp
- Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp
- Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp
- Fresh Cilantro 1 tbsp
Prep the Jalapeños: Wash and deseed the fresh green peppers first. Mince them into very small, fine pieces for even heat.
Soften the Butter: Leave the butter on the counter for one hour. It must be soft but not melted for blending.
Mix the Base: Place the soft butter into your food processor. Add the honey, lime juice, and all the spices.
Add the Heat: Pulse the mixture until it looks very creamy. Fold in the minced jalapeños and the fresh cilantro.
Shape the Log: Scoop the butter onto a piece of plastic wrap. Roll it into a log and twist the ends.
Chill and Set: Place the butter log in the fridge. Let it firm up for at least two hours.
➔ Use high-quality grass-fed butter for the very best rich flavor.
➔ Wear gloves when cutting peppers to avoid burning your skin.
➔ Remove all seeds if you want a much milder butter.
➔ Make sure the butter is truly room temperature before mixing.
➔ Use fresh lime juice rather than the bottled kind.
