Teaspoon
- White Button Mushrooms 1 Lb
- Cream Cheese 8 Oz
- Parmesan Cheese 1/4 Cup
- Garlic Powder 1 Tsp
- Cayenne Pepper 1/4 Tsp
- Dried Parsley 1 Tbsp
- Panko Breadcrumbs 1/2 Cup
- Butter 2 Tbsp
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper now.
Wipe each mushroom with a damp paper towel. Gently pull the stems out of the caps.
Finely chop half of the mushroom stems. Discard the other half of the stems today.
Combine cream cheese and chopped stems in a bowl. Add the garlic powder and the dried parsley.
Spoon the cheese mixture into each mushroom cap. Press it down so it stays inside well.
Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture over the cream cheese filling.
Place the mushrooms on your prepared baking sheet. Bake for twenty minutes until the tops are brown.
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
- Do not wash mushrooms under running water ever.
- Press the filling firmly into each mushroom cap.
- Choose mushrooms that are all the same size.
- Serve them warm for the best possible flavor.
- Add extra cheese for a gooier center texture.
- Use a wire rack for even crispier bottoms.
