- All-Purpose Flour 2 cups
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Baking Powder 2 tsp
- Baking Soda 1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Buttermilk 2 cups
- Unsalted Butter 1/2 cup
- large Eggs 2
- Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Preheat Your Iron: Turn on your waffle iron first. Let it get very hot.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Put flour and sugar in a bowl. Add baking powder and salt. Whisk them together well.
Whisk Wet Ingredients: Mix buttermilk and eggs in another bowl. Add the melted butter slowly. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine the Mixes: Pour wet ingredients into the dry bowl. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix the batter. Small lumps are okay to see.
Cook the Waffles: Grease the iron with a little oil. Pour in the batter. Close the lid carefully. Cook until they are golden brown.
Keep Them Warm: Place finished waffles on a rack. This prevents them from getting soggy.
➔ Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter.
➔ Do not open the iron too early.
➔ Substitute milk with lemon juice if needed.
➔ Measure flour using a spoon and level method.
➔ Let the batter rest for five minutes first.
