Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk or Fork
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Glass Jar with Lid

Ingredients

  • Mayonnaise 1/2 Cup
  • Honey 2 Tbsp
  • Yellow Mustard 1 Tbsp
  • Dijon Mustard 1 Tbsp
  • Lemon Juice 1/2 Tsp
  • Paprika 1 Pinch

Instructions

  • Measure your mayonnaise and honey into the bowl. Scrape the measuring cup to get it all. These are your two main base ingredients.
  • Add the yellow mustard and Dijon mustard next. Do not skip the Dijon mustard today. It adds the signature restaurant style zing.
  • Squeeze in your fresh lemon juice carefully. Make sure no seeds fall into the bowl. Add the pinch of paprika for color.
  • Whisk the mixture vigorously for one minute. The sauce should look very smooth and shiny. Ensure no yellow mustard streaks remain visible.
  • Taste the sauce with a small clean spoon. Add more honey if you want it sweeter. Let it sit before serving for best results.

Notes

  • Use room temperature honey so it mixes very easily.
  • Let the sauce chill for one hour before eating.
  • Always use a high-quality mayonnaise for the best texture.
  • Fresh lemon juice tastes much better than the bottled kind.
  • Add a tiny pinch of salt to boost flavors.
  • Whisk until the sauce is completely uniform and smooth.
  • Double the recipe if you are hosting a big party.
  • Adjust the mustard levels to fit your personal taste.
