Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Electric Hand Mixer
  • Rubber spatula
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Small Serving Dish

Ingredients

  • Unsalted Butter Softened 1/2 Cup
  • Honey 3 Tbsp
  • Powdered Sugar 1/2 Cup
  • Sea Salt 1 Pinch

Instructions

  • Place your softened butter in the large bowl. Make sure the butter is at room temperature. This makes mixing much easier for you.
  • Add the honey to the bowl now. Pour it right on top of the butter. Use a spatula to get every drop out.
  • Sift in your powdered sugar slowly. Sifting prevents lumps in your final spread. Add a small pinch of salt as well.
  • Turn your electric mixer to medium speed. Beat the mixture for three full minutes. The butter should look pale and very fluffy.
  • Scrape the sides of the bowl often. This ensures the honey is fully blended in. Stop when it looks like whipped cream.
  • Transfer the butter to a small serving dish. Serve it immediately with warm, dark bread. Enjoy your homemade restaurant-style treat!

Notes

  • Use real butter, not margarine, for the best taste.
  • Always start with room temperature butter for smoothness.
  • Whip the butter longer than you think you should.
  • Sift the powdered sugar to avoid tiny white lumps.
  • Add more honey if you want a sweeter flavor.
  • Use a high-quality honey for a floral aroma.
  • Do not melt the butter in the microwave first.
  • Chill the butter for ten minutes before serving guests.
