- Self-rising cornmeal 1.5 cups
- Self-rising flour 0.5 cup
- Granulated sugar 1 tbsp
- Small onion finely chopped 1
- Large egg lightly beaten 1
- Buttermilk 1 cup
- Vegetable oil for frying 1 quart
Heat the Oil. Fill your pot with three inches of oil. Heat it to 350 degrees.
