Wooden Spoon
- Burnt Ends Chopped 2 Cups
- Cream Cheese 8 Oz
- Shredded Cheddar 1 Cup
- Bbq Sauce 1/2 Cup
- Sour Cream 1/4 Cup
- Garlic Powder 1 Tsp
- Smoked Paprika 1/2 Tsp
- Green Onions 2 Tbsp
Chop your burnt ends into very small pieces. Make sure they are bite-sized for easy dipping. Small cubes distribute the flavor better in cheese.
Place your skillet over medium heat on the stove. Add the chopped meat to the warm pan. Sear the meat for three minutes until crispy.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream. Stir them until they are very smooth and soft. Add the BBQ sauce and stir again well.
Fold in the shredded cheddar and the spices now. Mix until the cheese is spread out evenly. Do not overmix or it will get tough.
Add the crispy burnt ends to the cheese mixture. Stir gently so you do not break the meat. Pour everything into your slow cooker or dish.
Heat the dip until the cheese bubbles and glows. This usually takes about twenty minutes on high heat. Serve it while it is hot and melty.
- Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth dip.
- Searing the meat first adds a deep smoky crunch.
- Add a splash of milk if it gets too thick.
- Freshly grated cheddar melts much better than bagged cheese.
- Do not skip the green onions for fresh taste.
